My European Love Affair

I fell in love with clouds first when I was in Italy.







I should have realized how great the sky can be long before going to Europe. But in NYC there is very little skyspace from where you stand at the bottom of the canyons of buildings. Here's Germany:

Barcelona





Berlin has the best clouds of all time. The city is spread out enough that the sky is very easy to see. Plus, the cityscape frames the clouds beautifully.







I was riding my bike along and I think I found God right here:







After seeing so many great clouds in Europe, I decided my ultimate goal would to be finding some clouds that looked like a European map. And I did!



I think it totally looks like the map of Europe & some of Africa. It's just that the Canary Islands are giant there .... and perhaps Great Britain has moved a bit north?

After my return to the states, I learned that awesome clouds can happen in NYC too, if you know where to go to get a look:
